- By joining Americans All, you can preserve the memories, experiences and accomplishments of an individual or a group. Legacy stories acknowledge that heritage and culture are rich aspects of personal and group identity and are part of the foundation left for family members and society. The legacy story can be shared forever on our web-based Heritage Honor Roll and, for more exposure, on the Americans All home pages of our Legacy Partners.
- You can become a point of contact for a school, at no cost, using its own e-mail address, so it can become a free Legacy Partner. Even though Americans All is no longer active in the Social Studies, English-Language-Arts, or any curriculum arena, members can access our online K–12 nonpolitical supplemental background resources presented in multiple perspectives, which were sold to more than 2,000 schools and libraries nationwide. The school can also create a free legacy story—in multiple languages, if desired—on our web-based Heritage Honor Roll. School registration is different from other education organizations because it can receive revenue from Americans All.
- Schools, students and students’ families, staff and alumni participate as lifetime members in Americans All at no cost. Where applicable, students can earn service-learning credits by participating in our program.
- You can become a point of contact for a nonprofit organization, at no cost, using its own e-mail address, so it can become an Americans All Legacy Partner, for free, and also create a free legacy story—in multiple languages, if desired—on our web-based Heritage Honor Roll.
- You can also become a point of contact for your business, at no cost, so it can register for a nominal fee to better connect with its clients and customers and offer discounts on goods and services by creating Legacy Partner landing pages and a story on our Heritage Honor Roll.
An online legacy story can be updated at any time for free, and prior versions will be archived. Americans All members will find it easy to start creating their stories. Our template (for either an individual or a group story) requires individuals to fill in their name, date of birth and a summary not to exceed 60 words. Importantly, all fields marked with an (*) must include at least one word (e.g., “to come”) to activate the field. Additional story text, hyperlinks and photographs can be added over time, and a shortened version can be printed on an 8½" x 11 template. We provide tutorials to help simplify the process. To ensure privacy, a section of the story can be password protected.
Americans All members also gain access to our background resources and can subscribe to our optional Social Legacy Network for only $4 per month after a free, one-year trial period. For the monthly fee, Social Legacy Network members and their family can:
- Use membership cards to continue receiving discounts on goods and services offered by program business partners and other benefits offered by Americans All.
- Electronically access the expanded Americans All collection that includes new ethnic and cultural texts and songs, period-specific posters and photographs and reference texts.
Finally, by using a unique storytelling tool to facilitate legacy preservation, we enable students to communicate better and also help small businesses succeed. Our program’s mission to support students participating in non-academic school activities and local businesses. We invest 80 percent of our gross membership and subscription fees to support schools and communities, so all students are better prepared to participate in our nation’s democracy, economy and workforce.
