Information on Americans All for Organization Legacy Partners
What do we do? We provide an inexpensive membership benefit package and a marketing outreach tool.
- For employees and/or organization members:
- A multimedia way to create, edit, share and preserve legacy stories—with honoree input
- Access to K–12 inclusive social studies resources—a $500 value—with an option to upgrade their Americans All membership to access additional resources and benefits
- A package that can be added as a new benefit for employees or organization members or made available to them at a 50 percent discount (@ $24.50 per person)—without incurring any administrative cost
- For existing and/or prospective members and clients:
- A marketing outreach tool that can be used to improve relations with existing members and clients or to attract new ones
Why do we focus on legacy preservation? Legacy stories:
- Celebrate an individual’s experiences, accomplishments and lessons learned
- Highlight the contributions and commonalities of all people
- Acknowledge that heritage and culture are rich aspects of personal and group identity
- Help pass on wisdom to guide future generations
- Celebrate an individual’s experiences, accomplishments and lessons learned
- Ensure an individual’s life story will not be lost forever or, in the event of an unexpected event, wind up as an impersonal, costly and short-lived newspaper obituary
- Should be created as part of life planning activities, similar to the writing of a will, an estate plan and a medical directive, and published now or saved and published at a later date
Why do we invest more than 50 percent of membership revenue (not profits) to support excellence in social studies instruction?
- The emphasis on STEM topics has reduced social studies classroom instruction time
- Students need a quality social studies education to develop their critical-thinking skills and learn how to evaluate different perspectives, assess the validity of evidence, work in groups and apply facts in decision-making
- Vetted grade-level-specific resources that meet state content requirements exist, but they cannot easily be accessed by all teachers and students in all schools nationwide.
- Social studies instruction helps prepare students to succeed in our nation’s democracy, economy and workforce and reinforces long-standing American values of diversity, tolerance and inclusion.
