Program-Summary

                         Program Summary

Leveraging the public’s interest in legacy preservation provides the funds we need to continue our education mission. The history of our nation is deeply tied to immigration, and ancestors of all Americans came here from diverse locations. Legacy stories share these experiences and offer insight, helping to make history come alive for today’s students. Moreover, by researching and writing their own story or by helping others do so, students will build the communication skills they need to succeed in college and/or the workforce.

Our easy-to-use templates help individuals and groups inexpensively create their legacy stories in multiple languages with text, photos, home videos and audio recordings. A portion of the online story can be password protected, and a shorter version can be printed to fit an 8½” x 11” format. The one-time, tax-deductible cost for an Americans All membership is just $49.00 ($24.50 using a 50 percent Legacy Partner discount code). Members also receive free access to our high-quality social studies resources (a $500 value), which are being used in more than 2,000 schools and libraries nationwide. Tutorials help members set up a user account and create a legacy story. Students helping seniors create their legacy story receive a free legacy story for themselves and schools and libraries join for free.

The legacy stories are published on our Web-based Heritage Honor Roll. Our Legacy Partners are entities whose missions reinforce our goals. They include families; schools; religious groups; education organizations such as museums and historical societies; and local, regional and/or national groups, businesses and organizations. Legacy Partners participate in our program at no cost because they host Heritage Honor Roll legacy stories to give them more exposure. Partners can have more than one Americans All home page, and individuals and groups can share their stories on as many home pages as they desire. Schools and education organizations receive a free Heritage Honor Roll legacy story because they can share content to support social studies instruction. Legacy stories created by Americans All members can also be found by using major search engines.

Believing education is a lifelong process, we offer members a free one-year subscription to our Social Legacy Network for additional benefits. After the trial period, the cost is $4 per month. Included in the subscription is CollegeSave, under which families receive 250 points each month (each point is worth $1 in discounts) and can earn up to $52,000 in college tuition discounts at more than 385 participating colleges in 45 states nationwide. These discounts can be used for children, grandchildren and extended family members. In 2017, students submitted rewards points worth more than $80.1 million in tuition discounts at participating colleges.
